German-Israeli Strategic Dialogue
CONFERENCE SUMMARY AND VIDEOS
In November, the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies and the Aspen Institute (Germany) convened a strategic dialogue in Israel. Discussions focused on defense and scientific cooperation, responses to terrorism, and perspectives on security challenges stemming from the Middle East.
During a public session, discussion focused on developments in Germany’s defense and European policy, the Russian intervention in the Mideast, the Arab refugee crisis in Europe, the special relationship between Germany and Israel, anti-Semitism, and Israel-Palestinian matters including settlements.

The conference marked 60 years to the establishment of German-Israel diplomatic relations; a period in which Germany became Israel’s most important European partner.
