With Nothing to Lose: The Limits of a Rational Iran

On Tuesday, June 11 at 5:30 pm, Prof. Steven David, professor of International Relations at Johns Hopkins University, will speak on the topic of “With Nothing to Lose: The Limits of a Rational Iran.”

The lecture is open to the public and will be held in the BESA Seminar Room (Building 203, Room 131).

Prof. Steven David is a professor of International Relations and vice dean for undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University. He is a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and a longtime member of the School of Arts and Sciences’ leadership team. He has directed the enormously successful Woodrow Wilson Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program since its inception in 1998. A faculty member in the Department of Political Science since 1981, Prof. David served for more than 25 years as director of the Political Science Department’s International Studies program, the first of its kind in the nation and one of the school’s most popular majors.  An expert on international politics and security studies, he focuses on international security and the developing world.
