On February 21, 2017, for the second consecutive year, the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies and B'nai B'rith International jointly held an international conference on Strategic Challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean. The event, which took place at the Begin-Sadat Center, involved the participation of experts from Greece, Russia, Britain, Turkey, Albania, the US, and Israel.
Shortly after the US presidential election in November, experts met the BESA Center to analyze the reasons for, and international implications of, Donald Trumpโ€™s triumph, and to dissect the โ€œYom Kippurโ€ of the liberal elite and media.
Lectures delivered (in Hebrew) at a June conference on โ€œThe Day After Abbas: Wither the Palestinian Authority?โ€ The conference dealt with the expected battle for succession in the PA, Israelโ€™s diplomatic dilemmas, and likely international scenarios.
February international conference on โ€œStrategic Challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean,โ€ with participants from Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Turkey, NATO, the US and Israel. The conference was jointly convened by the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies and B'nai B'rith International, with the participation of leaders of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. The Greek Minister of Defense, Panos Kammenos, delivered a comprehensive and very forceful articulation of Greeceโ€™s view of the region.
October 2015 strategic dialogue with colleagues from the political, military and academic sectors in Australia, focusing on the strategic outlook in the Indo-Pacific and Middle East, nuclear proliferation, homeland security, asymmetric threats (including terrorism and cyber warfare), defense industry cooperation, bilateral trade, and more.
