From May 30 to June 3, Professor Eitan Shamir, BESA Managing Director, visited Seoul, South Korea, to participate in a Middle East conference and engage with various think tanks and local media.
His visit commenced on May 30. Professor Shamir participated in a roundtable discussion with Middle East experts at Sogang University. On May 31, he took part in the 2025 KAMES Joint International Conference in Hankuk University, which explored “The Trump 2.0 Era: Reshaping Middle Eastern Order”. Professor Shamir contributed to a roundtable session from 13:30 to 15:30 at the conference. His engagements continued on June 2 with a roundtable discussion at the Research Institute for National Security Affairs at the Korean National Defense University. Additionally, he was also interviewed by several local media outlets. The visit concluded on June 3 with meetings with Israeli diplomats serving in Israel’s Embassy in Seoul.
