Professor Eitan Shamir, BESA’s managing director, conducted several high-level engagements in Greece:
On November 6th, Professor Shamir spoke at the conference “The Importance of History and NATO’s Role in the New Era” organized by ELIAMEP (Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy), an independent, non-governmental, nonprofit think tank based in Athens. During his visit, he met with Dr. Thanos Dokos, Greece’s National Security Advisor, and H.E. Ambassador Noam Katz, Israel’s Ambassador to Greece.
On November 7th, Professor Shamir delivered a lecture to members of the Hellenic National Defense College and Hellenic General Staff.
During his time in Greece, Professor Shamir also conducted fruitful meetings with Professor Ino Anatoli, Executive Director of The Institute of International Relations (IDIS), and other senior members to discuss future collaboration and joint projects. IDIS is affiliated with the Department of International and European Studies at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.
